All the time, I get these beautiful gifts of teaching people and animals about the sacred sound of HU, the powerful mantra that connects us with divine love and the heart of all life. I also remind my clients and their pets about the importance of HU.
Some play a recording of the HU twenty-four hours a day.
Recently, I received a call from some clients back East who travel a lot. They have cats that come and go using a cat door, even when their owners are gone and friends are taking care of them.
My clients said that when they arrived home from a recent trip, one of their cats wasn’t anywhere to be found. It wasn’t unusual for this particular cat to go missing for a few days at a time. However, when they called me, it had been gone for a full five weeks!
I reminded them that I can’t find lost animals because I can’t hear them. I get too emotional. But they can still hear me.
So, I told my clients that I would reach out to the cat, sing HU for her, and remind her of what HU has been in her life. I told them I would let the cat know she could follow HU home.
My clients had been playing HU continuously, but somehow the player got disconnected. They didn’t notice this when they arrived home. They set the player out in the covered porch area, while I told the cat that “dad” would be playing the HU and her “parents” would love for her to come home because they missed her so much.
I reached out to the cat the rest of that day and the following morning. Then, I received a phone call from the clients. Their cat had come home and was sitting in their covered porch looking up at the HU.
This was beautiful reminder that HU brings us home, whether it is in the physical world or the spiritual planes.

After hearing from you about the benefits of continuously playing the HU CD for pets when we’re gone, I started doing that. I love hearing HU in the background during the day and night myself! TY Sharon.

Thank you, Sharon, for your beautiful story. The power of HU as a sacred sound proves itself once again through this touching story of a lost cat finding its way home. Your gentle approach—reaching out with love and using HU as a spiritual beacon—created a bridge for the cat’s return. The image of the cat sitting beneath the HU player, finally home after five weeks, reminds us that divine love guides all beings back to where they belong.
