An Exceptional Near Death Experience

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Guest Post by Riley Carson

In this YouTube video (22 minutes long), a man named Shaman Oaks relates his extraordinary near death experience. During the experience, his spiritual guide taught him ten things to know about life. Here are eight of them listed in order of importance according to Shaman’s guide:

  1. Be authentic. Because your authentic “self” is the only one that can grow.
  2. Earth is a school. It’s one of the hardest schools in the universe, but also worth it, for the spiritual gain.
  3. Love everyone. Shaman was surprised by this one. He thought love would be number one. But his guide explained that you can’t truly love another if you are not being authentic, and if you don’t understand that earth is a school, for if you don’t understand why you are here in the first place, you can’t fully appreciate why you must learn to love.
  4. Use your inner voice. It’s inspired by the divine.
  5. Give up prejudice. Shaman said he understood that very well. He detested the way prejudiced people treat others. But his guide gently pointed out that by being prejudiced against prejudiced people, you have joined Team Prejudice.
  6. Control your thoughts. If you can control your thoughts, you can control the outcome.
  7. Evil has a purpose. People need to understand why evil exists. The guide explained that if there were no bad choices, there would also be no good ones, and without choices there would be no learning.
  8. We are all one. Not that we are one in being, but that we are one in light, love, and purpose.

Shaman Oaks has written a book titled The Light After Death (published in 2022).

If earth is one of the hardest schools in the universe, I don’t really want to attend the hardest one! Thank you, Riley
