Small or large, dainty or “hefty” of stature
They’ve enrolled in a lifetime of service
Their “job interviews” occur only on the Soul plane
Despite never receiving a promotion or a review, they exceed every expectation or way of “being” humans may devise.
From unspoken assessments of demeanor, intellect, intuition, loyalty, discernment, compassion, or courage, they stand devoted to their human or human’s family.
My perspectives are not formed by close familiarity with any one dog. Rather from lifelong observance of humans and the canines who love them.
In spite of their human “pack’s” shortcomings, they retrieve heavy burdens from their charge’s lives giving all they can to gently demonstrate their true power—love beyond all understanding.
In my humble opinion, it’s rather preposterous that there are millions of people on the earth with myriad opinions about “how special THEY are.” Yet for all their anonymity, dogs continue to shine as they go about their business of being present for their “people.”
They’re highly intuitive advisors, sensitive caretakers, and creative companions. And always present to the needs of their “bipeds,” far more often than they’re acknowledged.
If you, “Dear reader,” happen to be a dog owner, PLEASE pass my heartfelt gratitude for your “LIVING examples of God’s presence.”
If you happen to be a dog, these accolades are for you.
Dogs are one of humanity’s most trusted four-legged Masters. They follow our lives with heroic patience, curiosity, and love.
I am grateful & salute you for your unselfish dedication to sharing your best selves with man AND womankind.
And I raise my heart in gratitude to each of you for being such amazing Ambassadors of Acceptance.

My wife named our dog Shabda, a Sanskrit word, and indeed the Shab is the Lover of all Life. She has just learned how to open doors, so her next trick will be to bring in the groceries. ;<)

Good one, Al.
JJ, one of my Ragdoll cats, started giving me leg massages each morning. In his last incarnation, he was “Jake,” so I decided to name him “Jake Junior” when he returned. He loved to go on walks on his leash and rode everywhere with me with his head sticking out the window like a dog.
Gloria, it’s kind of you to honor dogs this way. They certainly deserve it!
