Flying dreams, astral travels, journeys of Soul beyond this physical realm—if you’ve experienced any of these, you probably remember the feeling of freedom, joy, and wonder that accompanied you on these sojourns beyond the normal, mundane world.
When I was fourteen, just as I was falling asleep, I noticed the presence of a radiant being at my bedside. I later learned the name of this spiritual adept who grasped my hand and pulled me upward out of the physical body. As we floated upward, I marveled at the form lying motionless in the bed below. I ducked my head as we neared the ceiling, which elicited a smile from my guide.
We sailed through the atmosphere, well above the earth, and I witnessed continents passing beneath us like polished mosaics. Finally, we touched down on the ridge of a towering mountain range where I noticed a wooden structure clinging tenaciously to the side of the mountain. Crossing a wide, wooden plank walkway, we entered the receiving hall of the building.
At the end of this long hall, I saw a man wearing a white robe with a hood standing before two large wooden doors. He received us with a smile, then talked briefly to the adept who had brought me here. Then, without saying a word to me, my guide tipped his head sideways toward me without looking over and said, “He is here to learn.” He then wheeled about and abruptly left.
This was a monastery, high in the Himalayan Mountains, where spiritual students study subjects not taught in conventional schools—who we truly are, why we’re here, as well as the may incredible places that exist in the worlds beyond.
It was many years before I appreciated the opportunity I had been afforded as I was finishing my eighth grade year. My reaction at the time was one of frustration: “What rotten luck. Now I have to go to Summer School!”
The memory of this experience is partially responsible for the title of the song, “Dreamwalk with Me.” Initially, I intended to write a novel using that name as a title. But the lyrics to a song seemed to write themselves one day, so I changed plans.

Perhaps you’ll remember some of your own “dreamwalk” experiences and appreciate them as I do mine. If you haven’t had such an experience, be sure and ask the Universe for one tonight!

What an engaging song and joy-filled invitation. Makes me wonder – where’s ‘that’ invitation when we gather in person? For services and/or gatherings of friends? A ha! There’s a “next step” awaiting! You’re a brilliant writer & composer of songs… I look forward to you sharing ‘this’ or a similar series of questions and format in days to come. Well done, Mike!
