Mark West recently wrote in an email how he’d been cautioned to use more discrimination when expressing his frustration with a person at work. “Sometimes it’s best to just keep silent and contemplate upon the reflection we’re receiving from the world around us,” Mark noted. A waking dream suggested a better approach for him to take the next time he found himself frustrated by the actions of a co-worker.
Mark was following a truck that was moving along quite slowly. Casually, he glanced up and read the words on the back of the truck. The letters “HU” were painted on the top half of the cargo door. Of course, HU was familiar to Mark. It was the sacred repetition he uses to connect with the current of divine love flowing throughout the universe, the Golden Thread. Recalling his recent distractions at work, he interpreted this as a reminder to sing HU whenever he needed a calming influence.
But there were also letters below it, on the bottom section of the door: “SH.” When Mark put them together with the letters above, he saw the word HUSH. The other half of the Highlighted Waking Dream message was telling Mark to revisit the Law of Silence.
Mark had long known about waking dreams and recalled another experience that had happened when his daughter, Brittney, was young. They were taking the exit into town off I–105 in Oregon, discussing how we survive beyond the physical body, when a car in the lane just to Mark’s right pulled over in front of him. It was as if to say, “Please allow me to join in on your conversation.” Mark had just finished telling his daughter how a part of us continues beyond our time here on earth.
Mark read the word printed on the vanity plate on the car ahead and laughed. “See Brittney,” he said, “the driver in the car in front of us agrees.” The license plate read URASOUL.
