HU Saves a Climber from Sudden Death

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Guest Post by RJ McBride

Driving through the Great Rocky Mountains of Colorado, I came upon a challenge that beset my fingertips to tingling. Standing before me was a massive 800-foot, free standing, solid rock wall. Because I was no stranger to the practice of free-climbing, I carefully scanned the best route for my intended climb and began my ascent, which by my calculations should, if all went well, take no more than a couple of hours.

What Matters Most

An acquaintance named Timothy shared with me his experience of losing his wife to cancer and his journey into spiritual healing. A turning point came when he received a message from beyond. I’ll let him tell his story in his own words:

An Act of Kindness and the Love of HU

Reading Time: 3 minutes

By Michael Avery, as told by Sharon Sheppard

Sharon Sheppard’s husband, Pat, takes their Siberian Husky for walks every morning and late afternoon either to a wooded area or along the rolling sand dunes and sparsely populated beaches near their home on the Oregon coast. Pat enjoys contemplating and singing HU, an ancient love song to God, as Sitka runs through the woods or along the beach. One day, their normal routine was interrupted when Pat spied a murre bird lying motionless at the tideline.

God’s Love Comes in Small Packages

“No matter what you do in life, if you can just love what you’re doing
and see the gift of God in little things, you’ll be happy.”
—Harold Klemp, What is Spiritual Freedom?

I am learning in this precious lifetime that every little mundane experience we have is really a profound moment in eternity that lights up with God’s Love for us when we allow ourselves to see with the eyes of Soul. We need to have a childlike curiosity and pay attention to all the little details in each moment, because things are not always as they appear to be when we first notice them.

I will share with you a few moments in my life when God’s love came to me in the form of small, golden, heart shaped “packages” to discover and unwrap so that the Light and Sound could fill my world at a greater level. Sometimes my Inner Teacher had to give me a strong nudge to be alert.

Breaking Free from Collective Consciousness

There are probably more people (digital natives) living on the planet now who can’t imagine life without mobile devices than there are people who remember life before they ever existed. There’s no question that these devices have changed the way we approach life and communicate with others, often simplifying and improving the process.

Yet we’ve all experienced opposite reactions as well, and the frustrations that can accompany the complications and setbacks they can inflict. Rather than being born with a silver spoon in the mouth—an old expression that many digital natives will not know, and which only pertained to a minority of people—it seems that nearly all babies these days are born with mobile devices in their hands. Yet there are advantages to taking a break from devices.

My mission:

“You must assist people using what they understand. Simple ideas for simple minds. Young things for young people, something fun, imaginative, maybe even a little silly. More complex ideas for highly intelligent people. Realistic things for people who are struggling.

“What you say must appeal to what they want or need at that exact moment. It has to offer them a solution to the problem they are experiencing. Then, people will respond and grow into a healthier, more spiritual life.”

Spiritual Symbols and Signs

Reading Time: 4 minutes

Guest Post by Bob Switzer

I have had a great deal of success in working with a creative tool involving Spiritual symbols and signs. When I have had a decision to make or a major purchase, I will use a Spiritual symbol to give me the confirmation I need to move forward in harmony with Soul, my destiny, and for the good of the whole.

A Circle of Friends

Reading Time: 3 minutes

My wife, Pichaya, and I have learned that Divine Spirit, Spirit, God, or “the Universe,” call IT what you will, won’t interfere in our lives unless we ask. When faced with an important decision or a personal crisis, we can ask for guidance through dreams, contemplations, visions, or waking dreams. Most people, however, forget to ask.

It is important that we do all we can to help ourselves in addition to asking the Divine. A number of spiritual exercises are available that can help us navigate “dark nights of the Soul” or other crises. Many can be found in a book called The Spiritual Exercises of ECK, by Harold Klemp.

One additional spiritual exercise that I have found helpful in stressful situations is simple, and yet powerful. It’s called “A Circle of Friends.”

In Search of the Golden Road

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Guest Post by RJ McBride

“In Search of the Golden Road” is my term for the Journey of Soul as It works Its way through countless lifetimes of trials, tests, pitfalls and snares. Yet for all the hardships, wrong turns, and trial runs I’ve encountered throughout these past 81 years of my existence, the Sound Current of HU (the Music of Life Itself) has never been as clear, the Light of Soul never brighter or filled with Divine Love more than in this moment.

The Pure White Heart

My wife and I finally managed to schedule a “get away” weekend on the Oregon coast to escape from our hectic schedules. As I drove the winding road toward the coast, memories of previous trips floated across my mind. On our last few trips to the beach, we had found dark basalt rocks with quartz crystal heart-shapes on them and had some memorable experiences.

The ocean seemed to be a catalyst for these experiences, and I began to wonder what this trip might bring.
