People come up with any number of reasons for not asking for assistance: “I don’t want to bother anyone;” “I’m not worthy of help (love);” “I can do it myself,” etc. But, for the most part, people just forget to ask.
Pichaya and I have learned that Divine Spirit, Spirit, or “the Universe,” call it what you like, won’t interfere in our lives unless we ask.

Working in the Disability Services field, I would usually associate IQ with a person’s mental and functional ability to live their life as independently as possible. It wasn’t until I started using spiritual techniques such as chanting mantras, contemplating, and practicing mindfulness, that I could see a direct correlation between spiritual IQ and my ability to live in harmony and balance with the Infinite.
Daily practices like this certainly help me to live more graciously, but also to be awake to life’s synchronicities and guidance through waking dreams.

It is early December in beautiful rural Vermont. The snow is already a foot deep, and today the sky is cloudless—a vibrant blue. Veronica is meditating on this scene from her picture window. Suddenly, she watches as a Cardinal, flying full speed toward her house, crashes into the “invisible” glass barrier. Veronica gasps as she observes it drop, a lifeless, crimson splotch—like a blood stain—in the expanse of pure, sparkling snow. She is distraught and seeks a meaning.

Did you know there is a powerful tool you can use to help your life run more smoothly? It is listening to your inner guidance. It has taken me many years to trust this inner guidance which comes as an inner voice/knowingness for me. It sometimes gives whacky instructions that I often doubt. “Are you sure?” I question.
But, by following through on these whacky instructions, I am always amazed at the results; none more so than during the summer of 2020.

One powerful way the Universe communicates with us is through inner guidance. Learning how to recognize Its messages, we can be directed toward the right path, meeting the right people, and doing the right thing. Awareness is key.
What would happen if I didn’t follow my inner guidance? I wondered. One day I learned, and the price was extremely high.
