“Telling-forth Dreams” and Ian’s New Life

Reading Time: 5 minutes

Guest Post by Bob Switzer

When I chatted recently with Ian, the anniversary of a life-changing event had just passed. The course of his life shifted dramatically on the morning of September 11, 2014.

The Mining Train: A Spiritual Exercise

Reading Time: 5 minutes

By Michael Avery

I had the great pleasure and also the great misfortune of growing up at a quicksilver mine my father operated. With fifty-plus acres of hills, meadows, streams, ponds, wild strawberries, and ample wildlife, it was an idyllic place for a boy to live.

However, quicksilver, also known as mercury, is extremely toxic. The liquid metal that I often held in my hands turned out to be something other than a fun toy, as health issues later in life would prove. But this article is about a different memory from the “Bonanza Mine”—one that involves an old mining train and how it engendered a useful spiritual exercise.

“Spiritual Adventures at the Seat of Power”

“If you tell a rose that it is a rose, then it will always be a rose.
If you ask a rose what it is, you might be surprised to find
that it is an entire universe.” —Gary Reynolds
(quoting “the Caretaker” in Spiritual Adventures at the seat of Power)

Originally, I planned to call this post “Divine Guidance: When Books Take Flight.” But I fell in love with the golden rose featured above and the quote from Gary Reynolds’ free ebook.

A Soul Travel Experience Within a Dream

The Dream:

I’m at a Ukrainian hospital, what’s left of it, as two rockets hit very close by just hours before. I’m here as my true self—Soul, with no physical body to encumber me. I believe I’m here as a vehicle for Divine Spirit.

Artistic Awakening

I worked for a TV station for 32 years as a scenic artist. Back then, there were no computers and all sets were painted by hand. Before the new technology arrived and turned the world upside down, I had the chance to paint huge murals for soap operas, TV theaters, etc., for several years. I didn’t wonder why I had such a knack for painting large murals. I told myself that this talent came from my father, because he also had a certain talent for drawing.

Accidents Lead Us Through Change

Reading Time: 4 minutes

Guest Post by Bob Switzer

I believe accidents and resulting injury are a way we are led through necessary change by Spirit in this physical world, often moving us forward spiritually, teaching us something we didn’t know about ourselves. Otherwise, we would not need the message(s) and lesson(s) contained in the “accident” experience.

Honeymoon in Machu Picchu

Reading Time: 8 minutes

Guest Post by Al Coffman

Our honeymoon was typical for a couple of our age; Piper and I were
headed to South America with our teenagers Flava and Inigo.1 I had recently finished re-reading the spiritual memoir of Native American writer Jamie Sams. Her book, Midnight Song, began and ended on a Peruvian mountaintop in the Incan settlement at Machu Pichu, and a trip to the ancient royal retreat awaited us. On our way back to Oregon, we would stop and visit Piper’s parents in Pennsylvania. Primed for adventure, little did we expect a harrowing journey into the distant past.

Memories of Ancient Greece

Reading Time: 8 minutes

Guest Post by Duncan Wyndham with photos by Denise Roy

Those who sing HU know this is a time of miracles. This is also a time of prophecy. What the ancients experienced in places like Delphi and Epidaurus in Greece, we can experience as well today. (Delphi Athena is pictured above.) It is HU that wakens us to the potential of Soul.

My wife, Denise, and I researched Greece ahead of our journey there so we knew the places that we wanted to visit. This was a spiritual quest as well as a vacation. Thus when we made “wrong” turns and ended up where we were planning to go but by different roads, meeting key people along the way, it was more than ok. It was the intended journey all along.

Exploring Reincarnation – Part 2

Reading Time: 4 minutes

Guest Post by Riley Carson

Introduction

In the second part of this topic on Exploring Reincarnation, which is the name of a book by Hans Tendam, we will continue a review of his insights, with a shift of focus to the subject of karma. The Introduction in Part 1 explains more about the author, and why his book provides many valuable insights on karma and reincarnation. His extensive research coupled with his expertise in past life therapy enables him to provide many evidence-based conclusions on these subjects. I will continue the style of Part 1 by using a question-and-answer format.

Exploring Reincarnation – Part 1

Reading Time: 6 minutes

Guest Post by Riley Carson

Introduction

This article reviews some of the fascinating research documented in the book Exploring Reincarnation by Hans Tendam. The book stands out among others of the genre in several ways. Tendam starts with the observation that, at the time he was writing (1987), there were already over 10,000 recorded instances of reincarnation experiences. He decided there was sufficient material to take an evidence-based approach to the subject.
