What is Life?

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Guest Post by Riley Carson

“What is life? Is life the seeds of grass, drifting aimlessly, at times multiplying then dying, while at other times being swept into the vast expanse of the heavens?”

Inspired by various passages in the chapter “What is Life” in the book Dialogues with the Master by Paul Twitchell, 1983 edition.

12 Inspirational Quotes from Rumi on Love

Reading Time: 3 minutes

By Pichaya Avery

Jalaluddin Rumi is one of my favorite poets. As an introduction to twelve of his inspirational quotes, I’ve included the following excerpt from “Rumi’s Untold Story,” a free online e-book by Shahram Shiva:

“Rumi’s life story is full of intrigue and high drama mixed with intense creative outbursts. Rumi was a charming, wealthy nobleman, a genius theologian, law professor and a brilliant but sober scholar, who in his late thirties met a wandering and wild holy man by the name of Shams. In Rumi’s own words, after meeting Shams he was transformed from a bookish, sober scholar to an impassioned seeker of universal truth and love.

Why Did the Cardinal Have to Die?

Guest Post by David Rivinus

It is early December in beautiful rural Vermont. The snow is already a foot deep, and today the sky is cloudless—a vibrant blue. Veronica is meditating on this scene from her picture window. Suddenly, she watches as a Cardinal, flying full speed toward her house, crashes into the “invisible” glass barrier. Veronica gasps as she observes it drop, a lifeless, crimson splotch—like a blood stain—in the expanse of pure, sparkling snow. She is distraught and seeks a meaning.

Messages from Memories: “The Smile”

Reading Time: 3 minutes

By Michael Avery

Pichaya often reminds me to be here now in this present moment. She is right of course. But sometimes a memory will arrive at my doorstep unexpectedly and shuttle me off to the past. At least that’s the way I used to view it.

But what if those memories have really come from my past and into my present for a purpose? Why would they do this? I asked myself. Could it be they have messages they are trying to communicate?

Introduction

In the second part of this topic on Exploring Reincarnation, which is the name of a book by Hans Tendam, we will continue a review of his insights, with a shift of focus to the subject of karma. The Introduction in Part 1 explains more about the author, and why his book provides many valuable insights on karma and reincarnation. His extensive research coupled with his expertise in past life therapy enables him to provide many evidence-based conclusions on these subjects. I will continue the style of Part 1 by using a question-and-answer format.

Exploring Reincarnation – Part 1

Introduction

This article reviews some of the fascinating research documented in the book Exploring Reincarnation by Hans Tendam. The book stands out among others of the genre in several ways. Tendam starts with the observation that, at the time he was writing (1987), there were already over 10,000 recorded instances of reincarnation experiences. He decided there was sufficient material to take an evidence-based approach to the subject.

Using Dream Tools to Interpret Outer Events

The home of a woman named Ann abuts a wilderness area. She is used to wildlife. But even she was startled when, one balmy afternoon, while she was enjoying a tall glass of iced tea in her garden, she looked up in time to watch a mature bald eagle land on a tree branch not ten feet away from where she was sitting.

At first she was stunned; she was rendered breathless; she couldn’t believe her eyes. But, by the time she contacted me for another perspective, she had become the opposite: unable to stop her nearly manic chatter.

“I know it’s a sign!” she bubbled.

Listening to Our Inner Guidance

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Guest Post by Anna Finch

Did you know there is a powerful tool you can use to help your life run more smoothly? It is listening to your inner guidance. It has taken me many years to trust this inner guidance which comes as an inner voice/knowingness for me. It sometimes gives whacky instructions that I often doubt. “Are you sure?” I question.

But, by following through on these whacky instructions, I am always amazed at the results; none more so than during the summer of 2020.

How Divine Intervention Saved My Life

Reading Time: 2 minutes

“Don’t go to work today,” my Inner Teacher whispered in his gentle voice one morning during contemplation as I sang my love song to God—HU. The date was June 14th, 1995. It could have been my last day on earth if not for divine intervention.

A Message from a Monk

Since I was a teenager, I have always had a special place in my heart for Saint Francis of Assisi. This year I finally managed to make a pilgrimage to his home town of Assisi from Australia. The highlight of my trip was both unplanned and unexpected.
