From the things I have heard from others during my travels over the past almost 5 years now, I believe what we have all been going through equals the title of the popular bluegrass song, “Hard Times.”

I had written most of the words to “The Way of the Shaman” when a friend, Suzie Reeb, related a past-life memory of being a shaman in the area of Utah where the Anasazi once thrived. Her comments were a confirmation that the song, when finished, would touch the lives of others who had served life in such a way.
Suzie said the video brought back memories of joyful service. My favorite images in the video are accompanied by the words: “It’s all about love.” Please enjoy and share.

Here’s to another lovely Sunday…Light rain graced the garden yesterday. This morning, I spent a little time with Apollo in the garden moving the little sign, “RELAX, LAUGH, REPEAT” near the blue pagoda. Of course, Apollo posed! He “KNOWS” he’s one ‘photogenic dude.’ (Feature photo)

When I chatted recently with Ian, the anniversary of a life-changing event had just passed. The course of his life shifted dramatically on the morning of September 11, 2014.

“If you tell a rose that it is a rose, then it will always be a rose.
If you ask a rose what it is, you might be surprised to find
that it is an entire universe.” —Gary Reynolds

Originally, I planned to call this post “Divine Guidance: When Books Take Flight.” But I fell in love with the golden rose featured above and the quote from Gary Reynolds’ free ebook.

The Dream:
I’m at a Ukrainian hospital, what’s left of it, as two rockets hit very close by just hours before. I’m here as my true self—Soul, with no physical body to encumber me. I believe I’m here as a vehicle for Divine Spirit.

I worked for a TV station for 32 years as a scenic artist. Back then, there were no computers and all sets were painted by hand. Before the new technology arrived and turned the world upside down, I had the chance to paint huge murals for soap operas, TV theaters, etc., for several years. I didn’t wonder why I had such a knack for painting large murals. I told myself that this talent came from my father, because he also had a certain talent for drawing.

I believe accidents and resulting injury are a way we are led through necessary change by Spirit in this physical world, often moving us forward spiritually, teaching us something we didn’t know about ourselves. Otherwise, we would not need the message(s) and lesson(s) contained in the “accident” experience.
