Pichaya Avery composed twelve songs and played electric guitar in a popular band while attending high school in Kalasin, Thailand. She was also the band’s lead singer. Pichaya majored in Linguistics and minored in Mass Communications at Ramkhamhaeng University. Upon graduation, she worked for Thailand’s largest bank prior to teaching English and serving as vice principal of a highly acclaimed bi-lingual school in Bangkok.
Pichaya moved to the U.S. in 1998. While living in California, she recruited American teachers for a bi-lingual school in Khon Khaen, Thailand, and worked as an interpreter at the Center for New Americans in Walnut Creek. After moving to Oregon, she became a Certified Life and Relationship Coach. Her former blog and articles feature insights on life, love, relationships, and personal growth.
In addition to raising three wonderful children, Pichaya’s interests include: meditation, spiritual growth, photography, playing the guitar, tennis, and walking in nature.
